The 2014 Craft and Quilt Fair finished today. I went yesterday with my mum and had a great day, attend a workshop, soaked up inspiration, bought quite a bit [ran out of cash, I still had plastic though] and took these photos. Enjoy. My best friend and her gorgeous daughter [who happens to be our Goddaughter] celebrate birthdays within 2 weeks of each other. So to complete their gifts I made these cards. I used fundamentals accents. The accents are self adhesive foiled and layered chipboard accents. They are simple in design but look stylish don’t you think?
Sunday just gone my mum and I took part in the ‘grano markets’. We took our owls, my cards, photo albums and softies/felties and set up our stall. I made bunting and signage from vintage book pages. We displayed our wares in wine boxes filled with corks and my dad who has been taking fruit […]
I couldn’t go by another Monday without some mini stuff. This is from the 2011 Miniature and Dolls’ House Exhibition, a macrame owl, embroidery, long stitch, cross stitch and the cutest mini cushions. Have a fabulous week. It’s cold, wet and dreary here in Sydney but our garden is happy.
I hope you can forgive me – Miniature Monday didn’t happen this week. A bit too hectic to say the least, I am sure you can relate. Well I am back to share some eye candy from the Craft & Quilt Fair that I attended on Saturday. Maybe they were jumping out at me but […]
Long time ago 😉 at school we learnt the old craft of macrame, we learnt how to make the then popular owls. Similar to this one. I loved making them. I made quite a few from memory and gave them away to mums friends. Many years later whilst on a trip to Hong Kong I […]
Tomorrow I am off to participate in a market/exhibit day of hand made goods by the Latin community. I’ll be going with my dad. Not too sure what to expect but will check back in a few days to tell you all about it. I am prepared to part with my newly created owls, handmade […]
OK, so another post about owls but hey they are utterly cute, to me anyway. I came across Josephine Wu’s creation on Pinterest and just had to try it out. Six tiny owls from one ball of yarn and quite quick to make, so very satisfying. As I didn’t have white felt I used one of […]
As I mentioned in my previous owl post, they are very trendy at the moment. The hole-y hoot family is coming along and will have photos shortly of the nuclear family but in the meantime wanted to share with you some owls that have come to visit. Along with red and teal, owls was the […]
Well that wasn’t too bad, I took the plunge and it wasn’t so scary after all. Here I am back again, with another post. Another thing that’s popular [I think] are owls, they are everywhere. So what do you make with socks that you can’t wear anymore because of all the holes, owls of course. […]
