Handmade swap – 1st package

I have just completed and shipped off my first swap. My swap recipient loves:

Pink and Aqua

Colourful and Vintage

Making Bunting Flags

Sewing Craft Anything Handmade

So I made her a cosy little needle book – so all her needles would be safe. And it gave  me an excuse to crochet my first African flower. This is such a pretty crochet pattern. I enjoyed stitching a border on the fabric book pages.

It was only fitting that her pair of scissors be kept safe too – so I made her a little case out of felt and a crochet closure. Blanket stitch, French knot embroidery and button to finish it off.

Not sure if likes tea or coffee or neither but a mug  with your favourite beverage needs a nice little rug to sit on – don’t you think. I made this hexie mug rug with 7 hexies.

And to finish off I made her a little packet of note cards – using recycled magazine pages for envelopes and old novel pages, I printed a silhouette of a sewing machine and adhered them to pink card stock.

Fingers crossed she liked her package.
